About Kathryn Davis

Kathryn W. Davis was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1907. She received a BA from Wellesley College in 1928 and was awarded an MA in International Relations from Columbia University in 1931 and a Ph.D. from the University of Geneva, Switzerland in 1934.

As a noted philanthropist, supporter of education, the arts, biomedical research, conservation and the environment, representative government and global peace issues, Kathryn W. Davis used the occasion of her 100th birthday to encourage and support young people to create and implement plans that will foster global and inter-cultural understanding with the goal of building peace throughout the world. The Kathryn W. Davis Global Community Scholarship at Westchester Community College is funded by a grant from Mrs. Davis.

Kathryn W. Davis passed away in 2013.
